What a creator gets
YouTube's page for creators says that every 2 Jewels sent as gifts earn the creator one Ruby, and that YouTube pays $0.01 per Ruby. So a Jewel is worth $0.005 to the creator, and 1,000 Jewels are worth $5.00. In other currencies the calculator converts at the day's exchange rate.
What viewers pay
YouTube's own help page gives one price: 700 Jewels for $9.99. YouTube may change bundle sizes and prices, and they vary by store and country, so other amounts on this page are estimates from that example.
A viewer can hold at most 30,000 Jewels and, in general, spend up to $500 a day and $2,000 a week on Jewels, Super Chats, Super Stickers and Super Thanks together.
YouTube says Jewels cannot be refunded and are not a way to send a payment or money to creators.
Super Chat and other platforms
Super Chats and memberships pay the creator a share instead: see the YouTube Super Chat calculator. For TikTok coins, use the TikTok coin calculator.
