Twitch's price list by country covers Tier 1 only. For Tier 2 and Tier 3 the calculator uses the US prices other sites report, about $9.99 and $24.99, for every country. Change them if you know your own.

Gifted and Prime subs

Gifted subs pay the streamer like other subs at Tier 1. Twitch's Plus Program article says they do not earn Plus Points, but once a streamer qualifies, the higher share covers them too.

A Prime sub from the United States pays the streamer a fixed $2.25, as Twitch publishes it.

Prime subs do not count toward Plus Points: Twitch says only paid recurring subs do.

The streamer's share

The paid subs above earn 100 Plus Points a month.

A paid sub earns 1 Plus Point a month at Tier 1, 2 at Tier 2 and 6 at Tier 3. With 100 points or more a month for three months in a row, the Plus Program raises the share to 60%; with 300 or more, to 70%.

Twitch mentions updated Plus Program requirements for some Latin American countries but does not publish the figures, so the 100 and 300 point thresholds may differ there.

Kept up for three months in a row, this would reach the Plus Program's 60% share.

How Twitch pays for subs

How a sub is split

Part of each sub's price goes to the streamer and part to Twitch. Twitch's standard share is 50%, and its Plus Program raises it to 60% or 70% for streamers who hold enough Plus Points for three months in a row. The share is of net revenue: taxes and payment fees come off the price first.

  • Tier 1: 1 Plus Point
  • Tier 2: 2 Plus Points
  • Tier 3: 6 Plus Points

Prices differ by country

Twitch sets the Tier 1 price per country: $5.99 a month in the US and much less in many other countries. The streamer's share comes out of what the subscriber pays, so subs from cheaper countries pay less. Compare every country in the Twitch sub price by country table.

Prime and gifted subs

A Prime sub pays the streamer a fixed amount that depends on the viewer's country: $2.25 for a viewer in the US. Prime subs do not count toward Plus Points. Gifted subs pay like other subs, but do not count toward Plus Points either.

Bits are counted apart from subs: use the Twitch Bits calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a streamer get per sub on Twitch?

It depends on the Tier 1 price in the subscriber's country and on the streamer's share: 50% as standard, Twitch's Affiliate FAQ says, and 60% or 70% in the Plus Program. Do Prime subs count toward Plus Points?

No. Twitch's Prime revenue guide says that only paid recurring subs count toward Plus Program points.

Why does a sub cost less in my country?
